Road to Liberty Through Their Eyes

EagleVision Productions, Inc. signed with Buffalo Toronto Public Media (BTPM PBS) to serve as the presenting station for EVP’s one-hour documentary entitled, Road to Liberty Through Their Eyes, and over the next three years, the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) will distribute the documentary from July 1, 2026 to Public Television Stations nationwide. The one-hour documentary initially aired on NJ PBS (New Jersey’s Public TV Station) in May, 2026. EVP is pleased to announce that currently approximately 150 Public Television Stations nationwide, including Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., West Palm Beach, Chicago, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, have broadcast Road to Liberty Through Their Eyes over 950 times in July and August 2026. Check your local public television station’s listing for future broadcasts.

EVP secured the services of Ian Kahn who portrayed General George Washington in the acclaimed AMC series, Turn: Washington’s Spies. Kahn narrates the documentary and the ten educational webisodes, and when available will help EVP promote this important documentary and educational project.

This is a truly remarkable story of perseverance, survival, and triumph that needs to be re-told for a 21st century audience.This documentary captures the Patriots’ struggle for Independence against the mightiest nation in the world during the formative years of the American Revolution from 1775 to 1777. Never again would the battle for American Independence and the Colonists’ right to self-rule be so vulnerable and so close to defeat as it was in those months leading up to Christmas 1776, the two Battles of Trenton, the Battle of Princeton, and the Forage Wars in the winter and spring of 1777, which forced the British to lose control of New Jersey and instilled hope in the Patriot soldier willing to sacrifice his life in the pursuit of liberty.

The story of unsung heroes and little-known events during this period of the American Revolution are told through quotes from letters and diaries of Patriots who fought for our liberty and Loyalists who wanted to remain British, read by actors off screen, and augmented with illustrations, paintings, maps, artifacts, military re-enactments, and location footage to bring the history of the times to life and provide a visual background for the story.

Dillard and Adrienne Kirby Family Philanthropic Fund, the production budget for the Road to Liberty Through Their Eyes Documentary and Educational Project is fully funded.
